Beacon of Light NY Ministry is a faith-based nonprofit serving the families affected by the justice system across the Capital Region and beyond. Through the love and truth of Jesus Christ, we support, educate, and reconcile families - helping them heal, find hope, and break the cycle of incarceration for good.

We believe that when families are strengthened, communities become safer. That's why we create individualized program plans tailored to the unique needs of every family we serve - because no two stories are the same, and every family deserves personalized care.

Who We Serve

Beacon of Light serves residents locally across ten New York counties: Albany, Essex, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington. We serve families Nationally, all across the US. 
 

How We Help

We unite community members, churches, organizations, and local programs to meet the real, individual needs of the families we serve. Our team works to identify gaps in each community, train dedicated volunteers, and connect families to the right resources - and when we can't meet a need directly, we act as a trusted liaison to organizations that can.

• Education & Empowerment - Equipping families with tools and knowledge to create lasting change
